June 2025. The first days at the sea. Summer heat has arrived early, brought once again by the infamous African anticyclone that scorches Europe each year. A ruthless, sudden heat—the kind that cracks open the earth in the fields.

So we escaped to the beach. Here, the heat is softened by the salty breeze and crashes against the still-cold surface of the Mediterranean Sea. The contrast becomes clear at the first dive.

Muscles contract, breath short-circuits for a moment, sounds are muffled; in that precise instant, everything makes sense. It is the cold that gives shape to my body—that defines, with molecular precision, the boundary between me and the rest of the universe. It is the contact with cold water that reminds me I am alive. That I exist because I possess a physical body: a divine miracle whose internal mechanisms remain largely unknown to us.

Join Cyber Hermetica, we have ice cream.

But seawater alone is no longer enough to cool the synapses. Today, heat is not merely atmospheric: it is systemic, informational, social. Capitalistic. Capitalism, which shapes every aspect of our society and life on this planet, is a thermodynamic system spiraling into accelerated entropy.

Telecommunications and social networks, complex systems, artificial intelligence, robotics: every phase of capitalism increases automation, diminishes human control, and expands the system's heat.

We are all immersed in a boiling miasma that induces mass cognitive hallucinations: our minds lost in algorithmic deserts, with no shelter or relief, and the heat we suffer will only continue to increase exponentially. Information is volatile, radioactive like uranium atoms. It spreads everywhere, contaminating every sector of society. This is the real global warming.

Heat expands, accelerates, agitates, dissolves, and evaporates. Nothing human survives the algorithmic scorcher of digital capitalism, unless we find a way to shield ourselves from constant radioactive exposure.

Even though our bodily functions are already adapting to the technocapitalist environment—with smartphones becoming existential rather than technological prosthetics—our ancestral brains risk collapsing into the metaphysical soup of digitized collective consciousness, which, through metrics like "audience" and "engagement," flays us until only our worst traits remain exposed.

World War III is just in our heads

Even bloody wars are nothing more than content deliberately created for this purpose. The much-anticipated third season of World War has long since premiered on our smartphones.

As

SEELE
reminds us, every war is a proxy conflict instantly absorbed into the global simulation, in which everyone and no one participates. Even the warring factions no longer represent any historical stance: everyone merely plays a strategic role in the simulation.
